MUSO Mag competition winner announced!

Congratulations to Courtney Homer of Victoria for winning last month's Muso magazine competition. Courtney is pictured (centre) with a friend, picking up her Sterling by Music Man natural finish Ray 35 from Ben at the newly opened GH Music.

Her next port of call will be one of GH Music's teachers, so that she can learn how to rock that bass!

Keep your eyes open for competitions that we run through magazines like Muso, Mixdown and Australian Guitar, our facebook page, and our newsletter (just email info@cmcmusic.com.au to subscribe), and maybe the next instrument or amp we give away will be yours!

Ray34 a Winner for Australian Guitar Magazine's SUBs Competition!

Pictured to the left are George Ingles and his brother visting Melbourne's Bass Centre to receive the Sterling by Music Man Ray34 3TS that he won in Australian Guitar Magazine's recent subscribers competition.

George isn't a bass player, but the bass player in his band has had to borrow a bass from school every time they play. George was hoping to win the Ray 34 so that he could share the bass with his friend who would then have a great axe available for rehearsals and gigs.

Congratulations George - looks like your Karma's working!

New for 2012 - John Petrucci JP100 - Three Times The Colour

When Sterling by Music Man released the JP50 two years ago, we were all impressed by the quality finish, great tone and fast neck. Last year, they excelled themselves with the JP100. This year, we get an exciting variation on the JP 100 theme with a vibrant new 3 tone burst finish.

Based on the exclusive "Ball Family Reserve" BFR JP6, a larger body, quilted top, transparent 3 Tone Sunburst finish and JP's signature domed knobs and shield inlay set up its killer looks, but what really sets this machine apart is its fast board and hot humbuckers. This guitar is a shredder's dream.

New for 2012 - The Limited Edition Ax40 in Trans Black

The Ax series of guitars pay homage to the classic Music Man® Axis®. The familiar iconic body shape is
exact. The 5 bolt neck joint, body mounted alnico humbucking pickups, bound quilt maple top, are standard for the AX series. The transparent red finish and cream binding on this Ax40 accents the deep quilt maple top. The basswood body exudes warm and percussive tones, but it's the incredibly versatileand 100% reliable Sterling Double Locking Tremolo that will give you access to those signature dive bombs and whails that the Axis' reputation is built on.

New for 2011 - The Ax30 in Cherry Red Burst

The Ax series of guitars pay homage to the classic Music Man® Axis®. The familiar iconic body shape is
exact. The 5 bolt neck joint, body mounted alnico humbucking pickups, bound quilt maple top, are standard for the AX series.
For the guitarist who loves the playability and tones of the Axis, but prefers a vintage style tremolo to a locking one, the Ax30 is the answer. This bridge design will keep you in tune 100% of the time. The major bonus is the cherry red burst tfinish - a colour you have to see to believe. The depth of colour on this top is outstanding.
